Thanks for good tools for Anno fans. I love this analyzer.
I have a suggestion for feature of this Anno analyzer for more clarity in displayed result.
When analyzer is in "Required building" mode, it displays required number of the builds and utilization as percent. For example, if current demand/consumption for fish is about 2 and 0.6 of a fisherman's hut production, then analyzer displays number of required build and expected utilization as "3 (86.6%)" (= ceiling(2.6), 2.6/3*100% ) in tooltip. I find this scheme bit confusing. Current demand should be reference point to compare. I also suggest that numbers displayed in main upper main bar should be changed depending on the mode selected. (default is "number of required buildings)
My suggestion is that, in "Required building" mode, Tooltip should display actual production capacity to meet the demand in fractional number (and its overcapacity versus actual demand, not versus full capacity in percent). That is 2.6 in case above, (or 2.6 (+15%), (3 -2.6)/2.6 = 15%) which means that actual demand requires 2.6 buildings, not 3 buildings and, and with 3 buildings, then over-produce by 15% of current demand. Or better, rename the mode to "Demand mode" and display the fractional demand buildings number in drop-down and main bar, and display "required number of buildings" in tooltip like "3 (+15%)". It is much clear in meaning than current required building number.
In "Existing building" mode (or "supply" mode for better description), current tooltip displays only building numbers. I suggest to add ratio of existing production capacity / actual demand in percent. In this case, if 2 buildings exists, tooltip will display "2 (-23%)" ((2 - 2.6)/2.6 = -23%). If 3 huts exists, "3 (+15%)" (3-2.6)/2.6 = +15%), which means that existing production is -23% or +15% under/over of actual demand. With 4 existing building, display "4 (+53%)".
In "difference" mode, tooltip should display the difference between existing building and actual demand in factional number, not difference between existing number and required number ( which is ceiling(actual demand) ) . In case above, if 2.6 is actual demand, then 3 buildings required, and 2 building exists, it will display -1 (in red) in drop-down pane and -0.6 in tooltip. If 3 building exists, "0" in drop-down, and +0.4 in tooltip. With 4 existing buildings, display "1" (in green) in drop-down and +1.4 in tooltip.
Thanks again for good tool like this, and I hope it be even better with my suggestion.
PS. Would you update the attached source code up to date? That is old version 1.3. If you update the source or mail it to me, then I will modify it to implement my suggestions and send it to you.
