Yes, I admit, I am a modding fan. I spent hours modding Anno 1701 (Sir Henry - thanks!). Now I switched to 1404, as the Golden Edition became available in Poland under €25.

Well, I cannot prove it, but I have a strong impression that the only factor that makes Anno 1404 decide "modding detected, achievements disabled" - is the presence of PrefereLocalFiles=1 parameter.

Is someone working on a packer/unpacker for *.rda and *.rdu files?

there is a tool for rda-files. try the first of the two links on the bottom of this page. the tool is in english.

Yes, but for unpacking only. Will not pack back into *.rda, what is essential here.

I did :) And there was no phrease "Rda files can be created"... Do you think my firefox loaded anold off-line version? ;) Anyway, thanks a lot, I'll double check later this night when I start windoze (the day is Linux-based).

auch = too, aswell

Well, I do understand that. My German is not sufficient to make me able to write posts in Anno 1404 native language, but I generally understand what I read :)

also ich würde sagen, dein deutsch ist auf jeden fall gut genug, um hier im forum ausgeschrieben zu werden : )
