@everyone What happened?
Hello you, who I have just tagged. This discord is undergoing a gigantic overhaul and I'm glad to have gone this route. My plan on abandoning the ANNO course and to set in stone our new route, towards a game that this community will now focus on: It's name is Knights of Honor 2, speculation concluded, a game developed by a bulgarian studio, namely: Black Sea Studios that has revived the series, with the help of Crytek, it is a AAA title and has many features you will learn to love!
Why abandon Anno?
Many reasons, most importantly: Disagreements with Ubisoft in many fields, especially when it comes to community development. Which we have outsourced and which I feel no longer comfortable with. The sheer size this place has become is beyond compare, which I never imagined it to be and I wish to concentrate all the reach I currently have on something which I feel more comfortable with promoting.
The main issue is mass production of communities. Handling is not one-for-one, everyone gets the same stuffs, regardless of standpoints, when it comes to community backgrounds. That is what led me to go on and do this step.
The community, that Anno has allowed me to accumulate will be concentrated on this new project, which is meant for the long run. I don't expect it to result in gigantic growth right now, which I do not seek either, I want a comfy and cozy place for a game that has no "real" community place in those terms.
I still like Anno, where to go now?
Here: https://www.anno-union.com/ only important place to check out. Other than that, we do not discourage chat about it. It's a great series after all and this project came from the heart, that is why I had to pace it. So if you want to talk about it, you can still do that here.
What now?
It's a long way down to the sacred ground, but for the meantime this place will be a backbone for the Knights of Honor community.
